Founded in 2004, Bucksburn United Amateur Football Club currently compete in the Aberdeenshire Amateur Football Leagues, Division 1 (North).
The club was established by a group of friends who had all been involved in Amateur football for a number of years, and for various clubs.
Numerous times in the bar on a Saturday night talk of the benefits of starting our own team was rife… so in the summer of 2004 Bucksburn United Amateur Football Club were established.
As is the case with any club, finding sponsors was vital in order for the club to get off the ground. Our local bar, The Cloverleaf Hotel, offered to become our main sponsor, and their very generous sponsorship was followed by excellent additional sponsorships with Petersons SBS, James Kennedy and SPS International. Details of our main sponsors can be found on the sponsor’s page.
With the management, committee, finances and players all in place Bucksburn United Amateur Football Club had arrived in the amateur football world.
The club play their home games at Strathburn Park Inverurie and with the solid structure in place and a group of excellent players available, Bucksburn United AFC should be a success for many seasons to come.
